Renovation Costs: Kitchens and Glazing

06.jpg

Getting the kitchen and the glazing right are two of the most important factors in creating a home that feels personal and luxurious. The price of a kitchen can range from less than £10k for a basic kitchen, to the truly eye-wateringly expensive!

If we are working to a tight budget we typically use Howdens units combined with basic/mid range appliances and a wood worktop. If you can increase your budget to £15-20k we can achieve the ‘designer’ kitchen look - but for half the cost! We achieve this by using Howdens carcasses combined with bespoke MDF doors made by our carpenters. The kitchen is spray painted to your chosen colour and combined with bespoke handles, a quartz worktop and higher specification appliances. Resulting in a stunning premium look.

Glazing costs also vary a lot between different products and systems. We have years of experience to help you choose between a vast array of options. The following estimates are an indication and include the cost of supply and installation.

Velux rooflight approx. 1m x 1m - around £750

Large rooflight approx. 1m x 4m - around £4,500

Basic bi-fold doors - upwards of £5,000

Crittall doors and side lights - around £10,000

Slim line sliding doors - around £10,000 (prices above based on an overall width around 3m, height 2.5m)

Structural glass roof approx. 1.5m x 6m - upwards of £10,000

We hope this has given you a bit more insight into what to expect. There are always lots more tricks up our sleeve to help you keep costs down. Arrange a consultation today to discuss your project.
