Modus House is a new-build five story home on a ‘cheese wedge’ shaped site in West Hampstead. Forming the front elevation, a ten-metre high structural glass bay window is a contemporary take on the Victorian bay window. Internally a three-story spiral staircase is detailed with jet black timber treads, a golden bronze handrail and delicate spindles. This contrasting palette of black, white and bronze is reflected in stained timber flooring, rippled glass bronze shower screens, and metallic bronze mosaics.

Our layout design carefully uses every millimetre of space and the overall feeling is one of spaciousness. The house is only 130sqm but accommodates four bathrooms, three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and dining room. To maximise the effect of natural light, mirrors have been carefully placed on the walls and ceilings throughout the house.
