Designer Kitchens for Less

When working to a budget we like to take a low-high approach to kitchens…

Low - we specify affordable carcasses and doors from @howdensjoinery. If the budget can stretch a bit further we use Howdens carcasses paired with bespoke doors, either made by a joiner or by a company like @naked_doors

High - we create bespoke flairs to give a ‘designer kitchen’ look … for example we work with @quirkyinteriorscouk who can create beautiful metal finishes as seen in our Caversham Rd project on the extractor, tap and handles which are finished in antique brass.

Low or High… wood worktops are a great affordable option and bring a charming warmth to a kitchen. But the downside to wood is that it requires oiling every few years and it’s possible for water spills to cause damage. Quartz worktops are made from engineered stone which is bonded together using forms of resin to create a solid, non-porous material. If budget can stretch, its worth investing as the result is an incredibly robust and beautiful surface. The worktop in the above photo is Airy Concrete quartz from Marble City who are a hidden gem in Wandsworth supplying natural stone and quartz.

Adding a beautiful handle can make all the difference to the overall finished look of a kitchen. We recently installed these beautiful Armac T Bar Knobs in satin antique lacquer on our Randolph Avenue project.

These are just a few ideas on how to personalise your kitchen without spending a fortune but each project is unique and the possibilities are endless!
